Snapshot on Ukrainian Wheat

Ukrainian wheat exports as of May 03, 2017 were 10% higher on year, a rise driven by strong demand from South East Asia.

Export Surplus to June 30, 2017 stood at 0.9 mln mt (2015/16 MY: 2.2 mln mt). The current surplus difference is down to the lower level of carry-in stocks in 2016-17 MY and a slightly lower crop output in 2016. Feed wheat’s share over total production was slightly lower in 2016.
