Reports suggest that dryness is still a concern in north-central Ukraine for winter and spring planted crops. Elsewhere a favourable pattern for winter grains and for planting and development of spring grains, including corn.
In Western Europe, reports suggest that a late April cold snap may have caught some rapeseed in the flowering stage and wheat in the heading stage in north and northeast France. If verified this likely means a reduction of yield potential for these crops. The weather pattern at this time is not as cold and a little more showery in nature which may help some crops to recover.
